FW06: The greys

This season has brought along an array of colors. One color that I have grown very fond of is grey - particularly grey shoes and jeans (skinnies, of course). It has made apperances on the runway on many occasions and has been the ideal accent color. I know of out all the colors in FW06, most fashion gurus have taken to the expected color black. In my opinion, grey is the new black. It is undoubtfully lighter in color, however much richer in appearance when teamed with the appropiate articles. So it's time to add some richness in your lavish lives and endulge in this seasons new element of fashion.
[a Lady B. favorite. so sexy.]
[love dipping front.]

[very cute style boot. I have these in green. Miss Sixty $285.]

Chanel

Clean presentation of Chanel's FW06 Collection.

Chanel's line is also impressive but LTF has really taken to the latest collection.
It's classic and chic.

Designer Watch: Part II

L.A.'s new up-and-coming fashion designers...keep a close on these fashion moguls. They're sure keepers.

>L.A. Fashion Week<

It's all 'Scoodie'!

In the past couple of months we've seen beautiful scarves, fashion forward hoodies, and stylish hats. Just the same, this Holiday season's looking at a nice median- the "scoodie". The scoodie appears to have been unofficially introduced by Kasil Jeans. It's an ingenious invention for those that want a quick fashionable headdress. Victoria's Secret P!NK has a cute variant of the scoodie as well.

[cute addition to your closet.]

Heatherette...NO EXCUSES, just right.

[Paris & Nikki. pastels. surf boards.]
We're indulging in an enjoyable recollection of past HEATHERETTE S/S 07 event in Miami.
LTF can't get enough.

Just another treat from LTF to you.

Street a la Mode

Street fashion is something that can be spotted anywhere. What people wear walking to their local Starbucks is just as important as the "Top 10 must haves of the season" Why? Because people play a role in dictating what's 'hot' and 'not'.

It's always interesting to see how people use their bodies as expressive muses. Here are a few examples of their fierce styles.

[layers. fall must 'do'.]
[love this skirt. rich deep color ++]
[adorable jumper && leggings. dark jacket would be ideal for FW06]

Roy on collection: "Fun, Feminine, Classic, Sexy"

[two of the best women in fashion. no argument.]
Rachel Roy is an inspiration to any young aspiring designer studying currently study at a liberal arts college or university. Many at conventional institutions majoring in another field not linked to fashion find it difficult to continue on. Roy too was eager to leave. However, she stuck it out and graduated from Columbia Union College in Washington, D.C. with a degree in communications. Despite not going to a design school, Roy made her face and style known throughout the fashion world once she moved to New York. Her line offers elegance and sophistication to any leading woman and continues to be favorite among editors.

Spring '07 Collection

Mother Vogue & Miss Zoe

Leave them alone! Enough of the constant bashing...[we heart Wintour && Zoe]

On Anna Wintour:

She is hated by many & understood by those that love her. Rain or shine, the first lady of Vogue will continue her life as Editor-in-Chief. She could care less about the opinions of the people who envy her job and lifestyle. She may be the devil embodied in the flesh, but she's the one rocking Prada.

"She's anorexic"

"She's a b!#$%!"

Kill the noise! She is a hard working woman with a strong work ethic living a life revolved around perfectionism.

On Rachel Zoe:

Yes, she and her clients are extremely thin. But stop blaming her for Lohan, Richie, & Barton's lack of body fat.

It also has been said that her style is "overdone". No. The pictures of Hollywood iT girls on EVERY tabloid dodging the papa'z in their Zoe 'ish ensembles maybe to you. But hey, what can I say? If I were being paid $6000+ a day to play dress-up with the stars, I'd only hope that they'd be seen. "No publicity is bad publicity"

In short,
>>they are responsible for what is seen in the magazines.<<
[To heart or not to heart? that's the question]

McQueen...Knight in Shining Armor

Alexander McQueen is one talented designer with more than just a "passion for fashion". McQueen has the ability to have every woman's knees to buckle just at the sight of any number of his developments. Omg! My heart just skipped a beat!
Style.com recently deemed this as FW06 must have

Ohh, for the love of fashion!

It can honestly be said at this point that Proenza Schouler has a firm stance in the fashion world. Who new two Parsons alums could produce such an amazing line? [A+]

Mon Cheri Marie

Without further ado, we are proud to announce Milena Canonero with the unofficial LTF 2006 nomination for "Best Costume Designer of the Decade". Canonero is already an award winning costume designer with Oscar awards under her belt, but what the heck, our award counts for something too. Her remarkable work in the lovely movie Marie Antoinette was fiercely feminine in every way and we applaud the magical product. She reinvented the Victorian era with soft undertones, bold statements, and rich fabrics.

The italian native is also responsible for costume designing in the film Ocean's Twelve.

Designers walk the moon

Well not exactly. But close enough. Since when did the infamous 'moon boot' liftoff out of the 70's back into our closets? Apparently, Burberry has felt the need to bring the anything-but-sexy moon boots back. Surprisingly, I fancy the idea of Burberry moon boots -- especially after seeing them. They're are no where near as hideous as the original Moon Boots are. I'm tempted to buy them (just because) and pair them with a sexy pair of skinnies. However, there's a gut feeling saying that by doing so, a universal law of fashion would be broken...

Target Couture...!

[ love @ first sight. we heart this dress]

By now you all should be well aware of the Target fashion promotion, GO: International which gives prominence to European fashion and the ingenious designers behind the threads. At the present time, Behnaz is on the racks. However, the next line in hopes of enhancing the Target brand will be...[drumroll please]

Proenza Schouler!

Lazaro Rodriguez and John McCallough definitely hold a very special place in my heart when it comes to youthful upbeat and mod designs. They are the clear defintion of a "dynamic duo".

We are looking forward to seeing what Rodriguez and McCallough have 'in-store' for Target.

Just for fun, check out how Style.com's Tim Blank and others had to say about the Proenza Schouler Spring '07 collection.

Designer Watch

Charlotte Ronson
is catching the eyes of many after the release of her Spring '07 collection launch this past Olympus Fashion Week. This line features a more sophisticated and versatile side of jersey knit and boho-inspired pieces. Woven cotten tops and whimsical dresses were effortless works of art under the tent.
The 27-year old has gained much respect and become a household name through her hard work starting off as an assistant to well-renowned fashion houses. Adored by celebrities for her keen eye and aesthetic, Ronson seems to be in for the long haul and not just a "one hit wonder".

Breathe in late Fall 06 trends and release the trends of the past. [enjoy.LTF did]

[These looks are to die for...]

Where have all the supermodels gone?

Seems like top model Gemma Ward has been treated exceptionally well by the fashion industry these last couple of years in her career. Ward's fresh look has graced the most prestigious runways and featured in luxurious ads. She appears to have taken over the fashion catwalks and reached a certain climax in international modeling. We like to think of this aussie native as the supermodel of this generation of models. Looking through any high-fashion magazine, you are bound to come across any number of photos of this 18-year old beauty. She has such a pleasant face and she is by far on the most qualified muses for the latest trends. We applaud her accomplishments!

Jane of the Jungle

Stumbling upon Guiseppe Zanotti's cheetah print wedged to-die-for mary janes has ultimately been the highlight of the day. Animal print has become an accessory to the new black of this season and fortunately for some it has been delightfully executed. However, BEING the "putty tad" has never been "aesthetically pleasing" to the eye. To stray away from becoming the Lioness roaming the Savannah, take tiny strides into revealing your inner feline. DO wear a wonderful handbag and a fashion foward shoe. But DONT wear a skin tight animal print pencil dress, that fabulous bag and shoe set. Even Disney's Cheetah Girls no when enough is enough! Moderation is KEY. Get the idea?

New life of the party...?

The all-European chic online 'tique is talk of the town and fashion lovers are on a clicking craze to grab the latest vintage and mod inspired pieces. LTF toured the international site only to discover delicious puff sleeve trench coats and delectable belted dresses displayed on the upbeat polka-dotted layout. No wonder TopShop.com is the new "iT" site! We approve!

Chanel's most adorable brush!

Can you say Kabuki?!
